2017 Christmas Menu

Mixed Game Terrine

Even though we’re only open for a short time in December, our chefs have put together a fantastic menu for the festive season! This specials menu highlights traditional Scottish food with a festive twist, and our chefs are excited about showing off their creativity!

While the menu is fantastic as a whole, we’d like to take a closer look at two of the dishes: Mixed Game Terrine as a starter and Chicken Ballotine as a main!

The mixed game terrine starter is a perfect option for someone wanting a little bit of everything. The terrine itself is a lovely mix of different types of game and pistachios and topped with tart dried cranberries, but we think the accompaniments are what make this dish stand out! Our chefs have not only made their own orange marmalade, but also serve it in a homemade pistachio tuile cup and an individual walnut and raisin loaf baked in house. What a treat!

Next on the menu is the Chicken Ballotine as a main course. The chicken leg is stuffed with sausage and chestnuts and then wrapped in prosciutto before it is baked. This savoury dish is served with all the trimmings including the ever-popular festive side, Brussels sprouts!

Have we piqued your interest? These are just two of the dishes on this menu. Click here if you’d like to see the full menu, priced at £22.95 for two courses or £24.95 for three courses. We’ve been running the menu for over a week now, and guests are really enjoying the dishes (and our Christmas crackers!).

If you’re still craving our Poached Shetland Haddock or Steak Tartare, there’s no need to worry – we’re still running our a la carte menu alongside these specials, so our guests can come enjoy both!

Have you booked your festive meal with us yet? Remember, we’re only serving this menu for dinner through the 17th of December – we close on the 18th of December for our annual closure, so you only have a few days left to enjoy this amazing menu!
